Here's the Thing

I think about photography a lot.  I LOVE photography.  But I don't want or need to make it perfect.  I was looking through some pictures in my Pictures folder (and there are MANY - so many that I often forget what I've taken).  I found this one (from November) that I took with my phone camera

 it's not print quality, there are distractions in the background - but it's a moment that

I want to capture forever - Justin walking with Ella home from school, talking about

her day and holding hands.

(At least it's not a pink backpack that he's wearing.)

My true love with photography is not about staging the perfect scene.

It's about capturing the moment that is presented before me -

so that I can feel that moment again and again, long after it's gone.
